My Bio

Vanessa K. Oland M. Ed.

My inner instructional designer has been developing for many years. I've always been inately curious, and observant. Instructional design allows me to develop creative and relavant solutions for businesses.

While successfully managing programs for a non-profit association, I attended university and graduated with a degree in Business Management. My thirst for knowledge continued, so I earned a Master's degree in Education.

This curiousity led to my interest in business and technology. Adult training and leadership was where I exceled and I loved every minute providing interactive, relavant, and world class workshops to adults from all over the world.

With all of the meaningful exchanges I had, my next stop was...the world! I got the opportunity to work internationally and facilitate instructor led training and mentor adults. In my free time, I traveled around to all the places I'd only ever dreamed of.

With my background, along with the skills I've acquired through The Applied Instructional Design Academy, I am innovative Instructional Designer with a passion for designing and developing engaging learning experiences with game changing results.

These badges are part of a 9-month program called Applied Instructional Design Academy. It is earned after completing training, receiving extensive coaching, and completing a project. Earners learn and practice the principles that make a module go from "good" to "great," increasing engagement among learners. They develop a Rise course that receives extensive feedback and multiple revisions. Earners have to pass certain criteria to receive badge.
